After receiving Specialist Member status, Exostar has offered BT\u2019s Life Sciences customers the opportunity to take advantage of the virtual scientist\u2019s workbench in the cloud using Exostar\u2019s IAM solution as a secure access point.<\/p>\n<p>Users also have the privilege of gaining access to a robust, global collaboration environment simply by connecting BT\u2019s Workbench Informatics and other BT for Life Sciences solutions to the Exostar Life Sciences Identity Hub. All of this is done without compromising security.<\/p>\n<p>The combination of BT for Life Sciences, the BT Cloud Compute platform, and Exostar\u2019s Life Sciences Identity Hub aims to provide easy, fast, and secure access to existing solutions. It will also enable the future development of virtual \u2018scientist workbenches\u2019 tailored to various disciplines, such as bioinformatics and cheminformatics.<\/p>\n<p>The common goal of both companies has been to allow scientists to focus on their research without having to worry about the complexities of secure information management, particularly in a cloud environment that spans enterprise boundaries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBT for Life Sciences offers an extremely powerful suite of solutions that enable life sciences organizations to carry out critical activities throughout the drug R&amp;D process more productively,\u201d said Daniel Pfeifle, Exostar\u2019s Vice President of Sales and Marketing.<\/p>\n<p>Pfeifle went on to say that all these facilities are part of BT\u2019s effort to increase \u201cthe potential utility of the tools exponentially by putting additional partner data, resources, and applications in the hands of their customers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>BT for Life Sciences has also launched solutions that provide scientists with easy and effective access to a wealth of information, based on its innovative cloud-based infrastructure.
